2019 – 22 Fires and floods

NRE has been at the forefront of restoring rainforest and associated forest alliances after the fires, floods and landslips of 2019/2022. NRE has worked closely with landholders, community landcare networks and all levels of government to report on, write plans for and repair burnt forests, damaged riparian zones and minor to major landslips across the greater Richmond valley, Brunswick Valley, and the upper catchments surrounding Nightcap, Goonengerry and Mt Jerusalem National Parks.
