  • Environmental trust Restoration and rehabilitation

    NRE has worked on over 15 Environmental Trust – Restoration and Rehabilitation projects. These projects have covered over 700ha and are strategically designed to create wildlife corridors, eradicate weeds, build the community capacity and will, and buffer and compliment previous restoration projects.

  • PLANTING AND RECONSTRUCTION

    NRE has planted and grown over 500 000 trees to establish wildlife corridors, improve forest biodiversity, structure and productivity, sequest carbon and create habitat for threatened species such as Alberts Lyrebird, Wompoo Fruit Dove, Koalas and Glossy Black Cockatoos.

  • 2019 – 22 Fires and floods

    NRE has been at the forefront of restoring rainforest and associated forest alliances after the fires, floods and landslips of 2019/2022

  • Lord howe island

    NRE first assisted the Lord Howe Island Board with their weed eradication program in 2007. Work has targeted 27 species of environmental weeds and has been carried out across the entire Island.

  • bush connect

    The Bush Connect Project is a 10 year assisted natural regeneration ANR project covering 130 ha, regenerating rainforest, establishing and consolidating wildlife corridors and creating threatened species habitat across private properties between multiple National Parks and Nature Reserves.
